Rwanda’s health sector has produced no shortage of clinicians who move on to administration once the demands of bedside work catch up with them. Today, Fraterne is a Rwandan nurse leader, health informatics and analytics specialist, researcher, educator, and social entrepreneur whose career has been defined by a commitment to strengthening healthcare systems and empowering communities. As the Founder and President of Max King Institute (MKI) and Executive Director of the Max King Group, he has built institutions dedicated to advancing healthcare, education, research, humanitarian action, leadership and Community development. He also serves as Co-Founder of the Rwanda Emergency Care Society (RECA) and Country Director for Rwanda at the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals (IICFIP).
Fraterne’s professional journey began in nursing and emergency care, where firsthand experience at the patient’s bedside revealed the critical importance of timely intervention, skilled teamwork, and decisive leadership.
